This long-forgotten Canon lens gives professional results for just $300.

The L series of lenses produced by Canon are renowned for their legendary status due to their renowned rigid construction, dependable performance, and industry-leading picture quality. However, with all of it comes prohibitive pricing. Despite this, the L series has been around for more than 30 years, meaning some jewels from previous years can be purchased for a fraction of what the most recent models cost. This excellent video review looks at one such lens, the EF 20-35mm f/2.8L, and discusses its various strengths and weaknesses.

The excellent video review of the EF 20-35mm f/2.8L comes to you courtesy of Kai W. It focuses on the lens’s capabilities. Since it has an EF mount, the 20-35mm f/2.8L lens has been around for over three decades. However, because it has an EF mount, it is compatible with all Canon DSLRs with an EF mount and mirrorless cameras with an RF mount when used in conjunction with the EF EOS R adapter.

Because it has more leeway at the broad end than the typical 24mm stop, the focal length range of 20-35mm makes it an excellent choice for photographing landscapes, events, wandering about, and other activities. A few years back, I was allowed to utilize this lens for a little while, and much like the majority of the Canon L choices, it provides stunning colors and contrast. It can be found on the used market for approximately $300, making it an excellent purchase. You can get all the details by watching the video that’s been embedded above.
